领导委员会

The CHHS 领导委员会 members agree to serve the College in its continual quest for excellence by sharing their expertise and insights; by helping promote the outstanding programs and students; and by enhancing the College’s reputation.

Meetings of the Council will be scheduled by the Dean or designee after consultation with members of the Council. The Council can also request that a meeting be scheduled.

The College 领导委员会 will be composed of distinguished alumni and other individuals who are representative of the College’s many departments and programs.

Key Responsibilities for CHHS 领导委员会

  • Develop a working knowledge of the needs, priorities, and plans of the College and 它的程序.
  • Share information about the quality of the College’s programs and the accomplishments of its students, 教师, 工作人员, and alumni with the broader community.
  • Increase a sense of pride, loyalty and connection to the College among alumni, 朋友, and members of the public.
  • Serve as a supportive sounding board for the Dean on programming, curriculum development, community engagement, 和活动.
  • Inform the Dean and other 工作人员 of developments in the external environment which may affect the college.
  • Provide assistance with stewardship; college projects, admission/recruitment of students, securing internship sites, and community engagement activities/events.
  • Contribute and encourage alumni and 朋友 to contribute time, 人才, and/or financial support of the College, 它的程序, and---most importantly---its students.
  • Recommend others for consideration to serve on the council.
  • Undertake other specific responsibilities as may be requested by the Dean of the College.

Selection and Key Criteria of New Board Members

  • Potential members will be identified and discussed with the Dean. Emphasis will be given to diversity of skills, 度, professional experiences, 位置, 给能力, 影响, personal background, previous volunteer experience, 等.
  • Connection to the College/University (e.g. personal connection, alumni, community connection, 等.)
  • Engagement-Important for members to have a clear understanding of College vision and strong alignment with college mission
  • Investment-Members should be interested in personal investment of time and/or resources; committed to philanthropy

The Dean will submit names to the President’s office; The President will issue formal invitation by mail, or the Dean will issue invitation in concert with the President.
